Metamorphosis in Heels

I finally decided to get a tattoo!!!

I had always been against tattoo’s on women. However, my mindset changed when I decided to do something radical to mark a significant birthday that was coming up for me. l found myself looking at women and their tattoos, and I began to see them as a work of art and beauty. I discovered that the majority of women had a story behind them. Some were funny and some crazy however, so many carried a deep significance to them. Their stories touched me.

I thought my first tattoo would be my one-and-only tattoo. However, I am now aware this is more like my first draft. Deep within, I know that I will add another or enhance the one I have to reflect what is more like a crossing over into my own confidence and freedom.

The meaning behind my current tattoo is my book (Metamorphosis in Heels) that I have carried within me for 40 years. It is a personal reminder that I need to write this book. Each time I look at the 'Inked Beauty' on my leg, I recall my life's journey, the lessons learned, and more importantly, how to live with beauty and love, each and every day.
