I have been admiring tattoos on women for years and years, while saying I was going to get a tattoo. My daughter has several tattoo’s. A couple of my friends have tattoo’s. Why didn't I have mine?
Well, one day sitting at work, I was admiring my
co-worker's tattoo of a beautiful butterfly and flowers. I thought…what am I waiting for?
So I asked for the name of her tattoo artist and set about looking for what I wanted to ink on my body. At the time, I was studying and teaching yoga and totally in love with it. I looked at many different pictures, poses, postures and sayings but was just having a hard time deciding, until one day, I just admitted that I was procrastinating out of fear. So I stopped looking, made the call, made the appointment and chose the first posture I had looked at. Natarajasana (the "Lord of the Dance" pose).
I love the beauty and grace of this pose. Its meaning being ‘inner stillness in the midst of change’. I love it!!!
I showed Randy (my tattoo artist) a picture of the pose and he added the rest.
Beautiful Tattoo!! Beautiful Experience!! I don't know what I was afraid of. I wish now I had put it in a more visible place on my body. And now, I am ready for my next tattoo. Just hope it doesn't take me as long this time.
