My Coyote......

During February 2017, my husband and I were asked to foster our newborn niece.
That very night I saw a Coyote running through the ditch.
This is not uncommon where we live but I took this as a sign. Coyotes represent adaptiveness and humour, two things I value on overcoming new and stressful situations.
On my Tattoo, the gems on the Coyote's headdress are amethysts and aquamarines (which are my nieces and my birthstones).
The Snapdragons represent deception; the Sweet Peas are for goodbye and the Morining Glories are for 'love in vain'.
It was an incredibly hard and emotional time for us especially since we had raised this baby since her birth and knowing that at a year old, she was supposed to be reunited with my sister in law.
This tattoo for me was to commemorate how I felt and experienced during that time.
*Side note: We are in the process of adopting our niece now.
