All my tattoos have important meaning to me. My first tattoo was a very simple design. I didn't know what to expect and I didn't want anything too big. It was the start of wanting more... My second tattoo didn't come out the way I wanted and it became a mistake that caused me to lose confidence in myself, all because the tattoo I asked for wasn’t what I got.
It took me another six years to sort out my mistake. I met an amazing artist by the name of Francesco who started to do my cover-up. My son, as a baby, was called Georgie Tiger. It made sense that Georgie Tiger would be the tattoo that would cover up my disastrous first tattoo.
My next tattoo was an Owl with a man’s pocket watch showing the time of my son’s birth…a life-changing event of becoming a mother. My life had become difficult in getting pregnant and I started to see my future without my husband. He wasn't the man I wanted to be with. I didn't trust him around our son and I feared for my own life as he was hot- headed. He would shout at me as I was beast-feeding. He would say hurtful things to me. To me, my owl was a reminder of my becoming stronger and independent in looking after my son.
The last cover-up of my first disastrous tattoo represented my faith in the changes I had made in my life. My most recent tattoo is my Lion and the MGM logo. It’s a tribute to my Grandad who was always there for me. He had a love for the old music and the old films. He would tell me about the old days and the movie stars of the musicals.

One of the reasons for my lion, my grandads name was Lyons and my mum from very young use to always say that the MGM lion was my grandad.... I hadn't put that in my email that I sent you
